Reading the annotation layer

Two amber marks, two meanings — they are not decoration:

cursor = what you act on ring = what changed as a result

The manifest's # column is the product's own status colour, not ours: 1 pickup · 2 dropoff · H garage. The map markers use the same three colours, which is why clicking either endpoint reads as one gesture.

Three things this flow hides

Assigning auto-pins. The edit session upserts a pin on assign and removes it on unassign — so hand-placed work already survives the next solve. You do not need to press Pin van afterwards.
Will-calls can't be assigned directly. Select one and the button disables: “Follows its A-leg driver — assign the A-leg instead.”
An infeasible assign can be forced — recorded as a dispatcher override and surfaced later in the amber audit banner. Some violations aren't forceable at all (a WCH rider onto an AMB van), and no override is offered for those.

What's simulated here

A hand-built reproduction, not a screenshot and not the live components. Column order, badge colours and the two-row toolbar match the running app; these are the deliberate simplifications:

The manifest shows 8 of its 17 columns and the unassigned table 11 of 16 — in the real order, with none invented.
The map is a placeholder — it doesn't pan, and the route drawn is decorative.
Names, units, addresses and times are invented. No patient data appears anywhere on this page.
Only the controls used by this walkthrough respond. Everything else is inert.
