You share the run, not just the data

When someone starts a solve or a colleague's run becomes the date's current one, everyone's screen moves to it — Solve, Data and Parameters pages alike. The move is deliberate: the alternative was two schedulers editing two different runs of the same date and transcribing both into MediRoutes. If you were looking at something else, the run on screen names its date and author — and the run dialog keeps a “Back to the run you left” link.

Loading and solving block each other

A load during a solve would tear the solver's input out from under it, so each direction is refused with a named reason. The block clears itself when the other operation finishes.

When it doesn't end well

Failed — the failure card offers Start over. If the failure was the audit, there's also a link reading “Inspect solution anyway (audit failed — do not dispatch)” — the parenthetical is the safety message: look, don't transcribe. The card names the run id for a bug report.
Cancelled — the cancelled card offers Start again. Nothing was committed; nothing needs cleaning up.
Blocked by Hours-of-Service — a solve refused before it starts, naming the shifts whose edits violate the limits. Fix the shift, not the solve.

The screen jumped to a different run mid-thought

A colleague's solve became the date's current run and everyone converged on it — by design. Check the run's name and author in the header; the run dialog's “Back to the run you left” returns you if you still need the old one.

Progress seems stuck at the same percent

Long phases (drive-time matrices on a re-solve; the final audit) report coarsely. Give it a minute before assuming the worst; a genuinely dead solve lands on the failure card, not in limbo.
