Trips whose OSRM road distance is at or above this are treated as long-haul. Applied when you load. Default 25.

Re-load data

The load card when the date is already loaded. Simulated view, mock data. Note the button has relabelled itself Re-load data and the green banner offers Use it — adopting the loaded data instantly, no re-load. The other banners (load in progress, solve blocking, locked) appear in the same slot.

Pick the date

The long-haul threshold below it (default 25 road miles) decides which trips count as long-haul — it's applied at load time and changes pairing behaviour downstream, so leave it alone unless you know why you're changing it.
Decide whether to re-import

Re-import trips (force refresh) pulls fresh data from MediRoutes, replacing what was imported before — use it when the day has changed since the last import. It's slower, and the checkbox deliberately resets to off every time, so a re-import is always a deliberate choice. A plain load reuses the existing import.
Load Data — and wait about a minute

Progress steps through importing, clustering, drive-time matrices and trip ranking. When a date is already loaded the button honestly relabels itself Re-load data — that's a different decision: it throws the loaded data away and rebuilds it under whoever is using it.
Triage the flagged trips

The Review data flags dialog opens on its own when the load finds trips it doesn't trust. See below — don't wave it through blind.

One shared dataset

The load is shared by everyone, not per-browser. The card tells you when that matters: “Data for X is already loaded” with a Use it button (adopt it instantly, no re-load) · “Load in progress — started by Y” with Watch · an amber block while a solve or reschedule runs · and “Locked — already solved” when a run is riding on the data (a lead gets a confirmation instead of a hard block). If a colleague loads a different date, your screen follows the shared dataset — pressing Change date first tells the app you're deliberately going your own way.

The flag review — Drop or Continue

CSR-entered data is imperfect, and the loader names the trips it can't fully trust. Each gets one decision.

The seven kinds of flag: missing coordinates · a pickup window that collapsed to nothing · a window too narrow to complete boarding · a trip outside the day's horizon · no candidate vehicle at all · a duplicated same-direction leg · an A-leg whose gap doesn't match the drive time.

Continue (the default) keeps the trip in the solve, flaws and all.
Drop removes it from scope — it will not appear in any solve of this date until someone un-drops it.

A dropped trip disappears quietly

Dropped trips don't ride along as unassigned — they're out of scope entirely. If a trip seems to have vanished from the day, check the flag list first: Review N data flags in the top strip reopens the dialog with your earlier decisions intact, and you can flip a Drop back to Continue.

Drops are shared too

Drop decisions live in the date's shared pre-solve scope, alongside funding-source exclusions and shift adjustments — a colleague sees your drops within a few seconds, and the in-scope ride count in the header (“1,092 of 1,101 loaded”) is the count after drops and exclusions.

After the load

The three-panel view: the vehicle list on the left is where shift edits happen; the map and rides table below are your “understand the day before solving it” surface — trip tiers (anchor / connector / filler), hardness, demand clusters. Diagnostic, not required reading. When you're ready: the Solve link in the sidebar.

The page threw me back to the date picker on its own

The engine dropped the loaded dataset — a deploy, a restart, or a colleague loading a different date. The page unwinds to the load form and says why. Load again, or Use it if their date is the one you wanted anyway.

Load Data does nothing and shows “Busy — see above”

A solve or reschedule is running on the shared process; loading would tear the data out from under it. Wait for the banner above the button to clear.

The load failed naming a vehicle and an address

A shift-edit garage address couldn't be geocoded — a typo stops the whole load and names the van. Fix the address in that van's shift editor and reload.
