Reading it

Every solved route (deployed and reserve) plus every available-but-unused vehicle. Columns: Driver (click a row for an inline manifest beside the table — unused drivers have no manifest, so their rows are plain text) · Region · Type · Space · Start · End · HOS · Trips · Stops · Deadhead (min) · Revenue · Status. Everything sorts.

Filters: the vehicle filter (stops / body / space / status) · driver home region · HOS ≥ N hours (default 13) · starts before/after a time · unit or driver search.

The HOS colour bands are the law, not a preference

Red at 15h — at or over the single-day cap, measured pull-out to pull-in. Amber at 13h — approaching it, and a likely overtime day.

The two things to scan for, in one view. Simulated view, mock data: a red row at the 15-hour cap, an amber row heading for overtime — and below them the other pattern, 404 deadhead minutes on 2 trips: a redistribution candidate no per-trip view would catch.

Workflow 1 · Overtime and HOS triage

sort HOS descending (or flip HOS ≥ 13h) → open each red or amber row's manifest → find the last trip → move it to a van with slack, or retime it

This is the tab's reason to exist. Labour hours and overtime are the cost the schedule actually runs on, and a red row is a day at the legal limit with zero slack for the afternoon's surprises.

Workflow 2 · Deadhead-per-driver outliers

sort Deadhead descending → read it against Trips → high deadhead + low trips = redistribution candidate

One van with 400 deadhead minutes across 4 trips is a routing problem the Trips tab cannot show you — there, each individual leg can look defensible; it's the accumulation that's wrong. Candidates like that are what Unassign all is for: empty the van, let the next solve redistribute.

Judge before you empty

A reserve van carrying one trip sixty miles from anywhere might be exactly right — remote demand is genuinely remote. The question is always “was a closer van free at that time?”, and the Schedule tab's region/time filter answers it in one gesture.

Three more scans worth knowing

Who's free at 06:00? — Starts after + Status Unused: the vans you could open for an early trip that won't place.
Region staffing balance — home-region filter + Status: “Northwest has 14 unused vans and Pueblo has zero” is a fleet fact you can only see here.
Low-density scan — vehicle filter, max stops = 2: the vans whose day might fold onto a neighbour so they never open.

One control here does nothing

The vehicle filter shows a Co-loads only toggle on this tab, but the Drivers table never reads it — flipping it changes nothing and no filter chip appears. Known issue; don't trust it here.
