What funding sources mean here

Every trip in the system comes from a funding source -- the program or contract that pays for the ride. Not every vehicle or driver is authorized to service every program. By managing funding sources on each vehicle and driver, you tell the system which trips they're eligible for.

This helps dispatchers (and the auto-scheduler) match vehicles to trips correctly. A vehicle with only "MEDRIDE" enabled won't be assigned trips from "RMPACE" -- keeping your fleet aligned with your contracts.

Where to find it

Funding sources are managed from the detail sheet of a vehicle or driver. Open the detail sheet (click the row in the Fleet table or Vehicles table) and go to the Funding tab. You'll see a list of the funding sources currently enabled for that vehicle or driver.

Updating funding sources

Click Manage Funding to open the funding source picker.

Open the picker

Click Manage Funding on the Funding tab of the vehicle or driver detail sheet.
Find the sources you need

Use the search box to filter by name. The list shows each source's name, type, and whether it's active or inactive in the system.
Check or uncheck

Check the sources this vehicle or driver is authorized for. Uncheck any they should no longer service. Use Select all or Clear all for quick bulk changes.
Save

Click Save to apply the changes. The Funding tab updates immediately to show the new list.

Vehicles and drivers

The same Funding tab and Manage Funding button appear in both vehicle detail sheets and driver detail sheets. You can manage funding sources independently for each:

On a vehicle -- says which programs this vehicle is authorized to carry passengers for.
On a driver -- says which programs this driver is certified or approved to service.

Both must match

For a trip to be assigned to a vehicle-driver pair, both the vehicle and the driver need to have that trip's funding source enabled. If the vehicle has "RMPACE" checked but the driver doesn't, that pair won't be matched to RMPACE trips.

Active vs. inactive sources

The picker shows all funding sources in the system, including inactive ones. Inactive sources appear dimmed. You can still check or uncheck them, but since no new trips come in under an inactive source, enabling it on a vehicle has no practical effect until the source is reactivated.

Common scenarios

New vehicle joining the fleet

Create vehicle → open detail sheet → Funding tab → Manage Funding → Select all → uncheck any sources they shouldn't service → Save

Removing a contract from one vehicle

Open vehicle detail → Funding tab → Manage Funding → uncheck the source → Save
