What you see

The Drivers tab is a table of all drivers in your organization. Each row shows a driver's key information at a glance.

Columns in the Drivers table

Driver	Avatar and full name
Status	Employment status (Active, Inactive, etc.)
Rating	1 to 5 stars
Regions	Region badges the driver is assigned to
Default Schedule	Summary of their default weekly availability
License	License number, class, and issuing state
Endorsements	Special license endorsements
Home Address	Driver's home address
Vehicles	Badges for each vehicle they are assigned to
Compliance	Status dot (green = all valid, amber/red = action needed)

The toolbar above the table has the same controls you see on other Fleet pages: search, status filter, region filter, compliance filter, a column-visibility menu, and pagination at the bottom.

Adding a driver

Click Add Driver in the top-right corner. The creation form has several sections:

Personal details

First name, last name, email, phone number, and gender. First and last name are required.

License and credentials

License number, license class, issuing state, and expiry date. These feed into the compliance tracking system. When the expiry date approaches, the driver's compliance dot will turn amber, then red.

Fleet details

Regions (a multi-picker so you can assign a driver to more than one region) and a star rating from 1 to 5. Dispatchers use the rating to prioritize experienced drivers when making assignments.

Home address

Enter the driver's home address. A small map preview appears so you can confirm the location is correct. The scheduler uses this for deadhead calculations (the drive from the driver's home to their first pickup).

Default availability

A weekly schedule editor at the bottom of the form. This sets the driver's default working hours. See the Weekly Schedules guide for full details on how the editor works.

Tip

Set the default availability when you create the driver. When you later assign them to a vehicle, the assignment schedule starts as a copy of this default, saving you from re-entering the same hours.

The driver detail sheet

Click any row to open the driver detail sheet. It has five tabs:

Profile

The editable version of everything you entered during creation: name, contact info, license details, regions, rating, and home address. Changes save when you click Save.

Schedule

Shows the driver's default weekly schedule and any schedule exceptions. This is the template that gets copied to new vehicle assignments. Editing it here changes the default only; existing assignments keep their own schedules.

Funding

Which funding sources this driver is approved to work with.

Attributes

Special capability tags for the driver, similar to vehicle attributes.

Credentials

Compliance items (background checks, certifications, medical cards) with status badges and expiry tracking, just like the vehicle credentials tab.

Available for dispatch

In the driver's profile you will find the Available for dispatch toggle. This controls whether the driver appears in scheduling and can be assigned to trips.

Available for dispatch toggle in the driver profile. When on (blue), the driver can be scheduled. Simulated view.

This is separate from employment status

A driver can be Active (employed) but not available for dispatch. For example, a driver on leave is still Active in the system but should not receive trip assignments. Turn the toggle off instead of changing their employment status.

Driver rating

The star rating (1 to 5) is set by dispatchers and supervisors. It is a simple way to mark driver experience and reliability. A higher rating does not automatically change how the scheduler assigns trips, but dispatchers can use it to make informed decisions when manually assigning or reviewing routes.

To change a rating, open the driver detail sheet, go to the Profile tab, and adjust the stars.

Default schedule vs. assignment schedule

This distinction matters, so here it is one more time: the driver's default schedule is the template. When you assign the driver to a vehicle, the system copies it into a new assignment schedule for that specific vehicle. From that point on, the two are independent. Changing the default will not change existing assignments, and editing an assignment schedule will not change the default.
